Personal Training

At the Fitness Loft, our personal trainers are at the forefront of the fitness and wellness revolution we’re bringing to Columbus! Personal trainers are available for all needs and goals and are happy to fit into your schedule. Many of our personal trainers have additional certifications for people with special requirements, like elder fitness and disability fitness. For all our clients, our approach is three-pronged: we aim to bring nutrition, fitness, and community together to support three important facets of your well-being.

Many gyms in Columbus offer great equipment and even provide trainers, but we are a different class of fitness facility. Your body and mind need proper nutrition, well-planned progressive workouts, and the social benefits of community. Signing up with a personal trainer is a jump-start to achieving your goals. Studies show that the results achieved within the first few months with a personal trainer are equal to many people’s results after years of self-directed training. Here are some of the ways that our personal trainers help you to achieve your goals.

Personal Training & Accountability

We’ve all been there: we’ve made a plan to hit the gym first thing in the morning, and then when the alarm has gone off, so have we. sleep! If you have to show up and be accountable to someone else, however, the results are very different. A personal trainer holds their client responsible for showing up at the gym every session and putting in their best effort. With this accountability, our clients are more likely to stick to a regimen and see improvements quickly.

Form and Safety for Personal Training

We aim to be the safest of the gyms in Columbus. Safety is the most important part of our personal training philosophy. Making sure you’re performing all your exercises with the proper form and alignment allows you to exercise longer and more effectively. From a foundation of health and safety, everything we do will provide maximum results.

Realistic Goals and Personalized Regimen

Another prime benefit of working with a personal trainer is goal-setting and individualization. Creating a personalized progressive workout regimen molds your daily workout around your needs, taking shortcomings and any restrictions into account. Personal trainers know which of your restrictions to push and which to avoid.

Beyond Workouts

The social and interpersonal aspect of a personal trainer can’t be overstated. Mental well-being and physical well-being are inextricably linked. Getting the numerous mental benefits of social time while pushing your physical limits is a surefire way to multiply each one. Our trainers are kind, understanding and lots of fun!

Our trainers can also advise on other aspects of your health and lifestyle, like nutrition. Many health and body composition goals can be achieved before even setting foot in the gym, allowing your trainer to find a deeper level of achievement when you are in the gym. Nutrition is one of the most overlooked aspects of physical fitness. We have nutritional advisors on staff, and your trainer can start you on a path to better nutrition and then recommend a nutritionist for further work.
